Cracks in the ground grow deeper

I had posted some pics of cracks in the ground - here are some showing how deep they are getting. look closely you can see the wire on the stick - the depth of the crack is about half the width of my tailgate.

If you have any hungry chickens, take them near the crack and start pouring water in the crack. The crickets will start running out of the crack and the chickens will have a feast!
When we lived near Dallas, we had that nasty black gumbo that cracked like that. Thankfully down here in the RGV we have great soil that tends not to crack or shift.
 
I in a camp ground in CA when the 7.1 hit frisco I was actually closer than they were. There a two inch wide crack in front of my motor home when it started raining real hard it took two hour to fill that crack up. It must gone half way to "hell"

I don't like pouring salt into open sores, and I know some of you guys are hurting right now. But there may be a bit of a silver lining here. Go to the hardware store and get some fence posts and put in some new fence. Kind of looks to me like you already have predrilled post holes available.
