Tinnitus --From too much tractor time?

Must be others on here that have ringing in the ears. There is a product called Lipo-Flavonoid Plus that claims to cure the ringing.

Four months supply costs $105. I guess that would be OK if it works. I'm getting tired of the buzzing. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Yeah,i wouldn't mind getting rid of the static too,...the result of a shot gun blast next to my ear 30 yrs ago,...guy thought it was funny,..till i broke that gun in half on a rock.
Shoulda broke it across his G-damm skull :x

I have noticed since I have been taking my BP meds as advised mine isn't quite as bad now,but I still have a constant pinging sound I have noticed some night sounds (crickets in particular) I haven't heard for the last 25 or so years

I got mine from hearing too many chainsaws and other small engines running in too small a shop. Doesn't bother me too much. I guess it can sound different to different people. To me it sounds kinda like crickets and other nocturnal insects like you hear in late summer. I guess that's why it doesn't bother me.

From what I have been able to find on the interweb, lipo-flavinoids can help at best 25% of tinnitus sufferers. I asked my doc about it and he said "don't waste your money".

SIL builds hearing aids, she says stay away from caffeine(ya right)mine wasn t too bad till I grabbed a 7in grinder for an hour, my left ear is really bad know.

After almost forty years of ringing in my ears, I've gotten used to it. It is a nuisance to those around me, who get sick and tired of me asking them to repeat themselves.

I've found the ringing isn't as bad when my blood sugar and blood pressure is under control.

Weird that lack of hearing is the only disability that the person that has the problem gets yelled at for it.Can you ever imagine a person not being able to see getting yelled at by someone hollering "LOOK"?

Hello: My left ear had internal damage over 12 years ago which gave me very loud noise of various kinds. So loud that I had to turn up the volume just to hear the national evening TV news.. After going to monthly open to the public Saturday meetings at the Hearing center in the State Medical complex, I never heard of any Real good cure it method. There can be a reduction if you are very careful to reduce ALL noise. My decision was to stop using my left ear all-to-gether.. I have a high quality foam plug in it at all times except while sleeping. I avoid ALL LOUD noise. It was a slow improvment over several years but now it is easy to not notice the Tinnitus 90 percent of the time. This makes sence.. The ear damage was not repairable by any Doctor so I felt I had to stop using that ear. It is like having your leg bones busted in several places. If not repaired, you really can not use it. Period.

Ive put up with it (along with siginfacent hearing loss) for nearly 50 years. After awhile you'll not notice it.

The only relief I know of is there are audiologists that will put you in a sound booth and find the pitches that match your tinnitus then they make a tape or song for your ipod of that pitch and you wear it quite loudly for intervals during the day. Your brain will block out the sound of it for at least a few hours after that.

Guy named Dr. Lyon, a mechanical engineer / ex roadie with bad tinitus developed it.

I tried an over the counter product with no luck. I found going to bed with the radio on helps. I always have the radio or my ipod playing some old rock or old country tunes. My ears have been ringing for 40 years.

Try drenamin. Reduces mine by 50 to 75%. One to two pills a day. It will take several days to a week before you notice any difference. May not work for everyone, but not expensive to give it a try.

Really notice a difference if I forget to take it for a few days.

I'm getting 10% disability from the VA for tinnitus caused by all the gunfire and jet engines I was exposed to in the Marine Corps.

I tried LipoFlavinoid once and other side effects were worse than the tinnitus.

The first otolaryngoloist I consulted said, "I want you to understand right now, there is no pill that will make this go away". He was right.

I have it on good report that hearing aids stop tinnitis . Thats what happened in my case. No more ears ringing and no more--- turn down the TV, it's way to loud----No more having people shout at me . Now, it's just-----put your d--n ears on!!!!

Please do not take offense at my comment. I am not trying to hijack your post. I am stating this in hopes of prevneting this for any of the younger readers of this forum. I have learned this the hard way so it applies to myself as well. WEAR HEARING PROTECTION!!!!! It is extremely cheap in comparison to the consequesnces.

my Doc. says there ain't no help..too many belts through a M-60 & rounds out of a CAR with no ear protection...that ringing is a gift that keeps on giving....take care

I am 64 and still have pretty good hearing other than the tinnitus. It sometimes seems a little loud, but i seem to be able to ignore it mostly. After all, in 40 years of marriage it has become automatic to ignore annoying sounds.
