old rotary compressor oil

I have a 1977 worthington 120 cfm air compressor and would like to change the oil. What oil do I need to use?
Thanks,
Josh

if it's a rotary compressor do not use reciprocating compressor oil. google the company and check their recommendations.

Every rotary compressors I've run across uses transmission oil vs regular nondetergent engine oils like you find in reciprocating compressors. That said, your best bet would be to find a Worthington dealer and ask just to be sure.
