watched a lot of the olympics and am Proud to SAY USA Did Very wellin every event /// watching the closin ceremony,,all i can Say in a word is UNIMPRESSED ,, Britain has REALLY MISSED THEIR MARK , and let a good opportunity turn to slop ...so much more to offer than rotten gothic rock , and has been drugged musicians mixed with harry potter,,i would think AFTER ENDURIN THIS CLOSING the chinese are reflectin on their openin and closin ceremonies and tellin one another ,see ! we are second to no one,,

I did not watch any of it. I am not into watching sports. I did play sports in school but it seems like a big waste of time and money for adults to be playing games. If we would take the time and money wasted on sports the things we would gain would be breathe taking.

Didn't watch any of it. Not a big sports fan anymore, although I used to get excited about all that stuff. Nowadays, I'm not a fan of drama...and that's what they turn sports into these days. I figure that if "real life" doesn't have enough drama for ya, they you need to be living in a soap opera instead.

I choose not to.

Watched a little of it, but not much.

For me, it lost its attraction when they started allowing highly paid, professional sports players to compete.

I was enthusiastic at first to watch it...but, NBC chose to shove swimming and gymnastics down our throats every nite. There are many many more events that they don't even cover.

Was the queen in the closing ceremony? Anyone see the picture of her in the opening ceremony with the parade of nations where she appeared very angry?

Best caption "Look at all these nations we used to own".

Wife had recorded a bunch of episodes of "Cheyenne", the old Clint Walker western from the early 60's- we watched a couple of those instead. Guess I'm gettin' old, but all that razzle-dazzle stuff in Olympics ceremonies, Super Bowl halftime show, most movies these days, etc. just tend to irritate me. Can you spell crochety?

Watched it on two Channels and the third one in 3D you really need to upgrade your TV. A lot of the good stuff was on the alternet channels. Like babes in very small swim suits playing volley ball in the sand.
Man am I getting old or not.
Walt
PS the best thing was watching an American and a Britt tear up that Chinese guy on the diving platform. He went of crying, to bad OLD Boy.

You guys are lucky you werent here in England.20 TV channels, all day, every day for 2 weeks, plus all the build up before. Gets more than boring. In the next few weeks, we get the paralympics, you bet there will be much less coverage of REAL sports stars. My 2 cents worth.

Hello Nancy Howell,
I have lost interest for the same reson,
I have seen a few seconds of the olimpics while watching the news. That was enough for me.
Olimpics and amateur was a synonym at one time.
Guido.

That was the comment I saw on our free to air screen last night. It was so tightly tied up to rake in the dollars for pay TV, free to air got the also rans.
