I was reading an on-line story and the author had a link to this wonderful old Civil War era song that is sang in the back ground of a video of many Civil War photos. All in all it is real neat!!!

Another good old song. It is a love song written by a Reverend during the civil war. Again a bunch of old pictures this time most the women of the era.

I attended a one-room schoolhouse from grade one thru five (late 40s, early 50s) and that was one of the songs we sang. Another song we sang was "Old Black Joe"; not a bad song, but probably not considered "politically correct" today!

I think Bugs bunny used to sing tenting tonight, while being chased, he would duck into a tent, cook a hot dog, and sing it, as if he was an innocent bystander. If I find it, I will post!
