Truck Rodeo?

Hey, was watching a real classic, Smokey and the Bandit, and the thought crossed my mind. Are there any truck rodeos anymore? This is tractor related because IH made tractors and trucks and pretty much every tractor was hauled by a truck.

National championship was yesterday in Minneapolis.
Mn state championship was in June. Former employer was a major sponsor, provided facilities & some equipment. Co-worker friend was a competitor.
Back in 84-86 I entered local rodeo, took a second, & 2 thirds.
If you have a contact at a major outfit such as UPS, Fed Ex, ABF, YRW, etc, check with them late winter for schedule. They always sponsor & promote.

There is one in Notre Dame du Nord, Quebec every year. Towns on this side of the border are quite empty that weekend. They give a fifth wheel camper trailer and pickup to pull it for top prize every year so it is a pretty big thing.Lots of pretty girls and beer, so I'm told. Never go even though it is about 10 miles away, it's in haying season.

here in denver, colorado, they still have one in june, my brother would try in it...i never got asked to try after 30 yrs driving....
