Just bought Happy Jack Kennel Dip(8 oz. for $23.99). Dipped my dog...A few fleas were killed but not much. Back in the 70's and 80's when I used Happy Jack it was better'n sliced bread. It killed all the fleas and kept them off the dog for some time. What happened?
Now it does not even smell like the HJ I use to have. What was the original active ingredients?

Get you some lyme dip concentrate. Mix as needed. Cheap, stinks like rotten eggs, but works on quite a bit of stuff. You can put it in a sprayer and take care of mites in the henhouse, hogs, etc.
Used to just put a little sulfur in the dog's food each day (< half teaspoon) and never had a problem with fleas & ticks...
