Farmall M Front Rear end Seal Problem

I am trying to get to the oil seal for the rear end. I cannot get past the back yolk of the "u-joint". I have attached a pic. Is there a ring keeper or something, or do you just get a puller and get after it?

It just pulls off. put a bolt back in the hole (preferably one with a centering hole drilled in its head to center the puller. Some propane heat can help. (not oxy/acet) Jim

Looks identical to my H"s. There"s a woodruff key inside that keyway, and it might be bent over like mine was. That coupler comes off, but man, I had to work 3 8-hour days to get mine off. Do exactly as recommended, put a bolt in there, sink small hole in the head, and use puller. When it finally comes off, you"ll really feel like you accomplished something good.
