I've got a few tractors which have been parted out as far as
they can go. What can I expect to get per ton for a scrap
tractor? It would weigh around 12000 lbs. I live in
Saskatchewan but would also like to know prices in USA. Can
not find any prices in my area on the internet.
Thanks
Todd

Two months ago, unprepared farm scrap was $230 a ton here. Last week it was $130 a ton. This week, it is $160 a ton. I have a couple loads to haul, but am waiting for over $200 again.

Southwestern Wisconsin

We are lucky ,we are real close to a plant that melts the scrap. Has been as high as $320.00 a ton this last year right now unprepared is $300.00 with minor deducts if rubber tires are still on the machine. Central Tennessee.. My man say it is probably NOT going to go back to last year highs for some time. Fall contracta are being offred now for $ 260+ a ton.

Everything I hear is that scrap prices are falling... yet prices quoted in this week's paper are still right around 10 cents per pound, unprepaired...right where they've been all year, here. ($200-$210/ton)

Most dollars per ton i seen here up in northern Alberta is $60/ton for old equipment..if the scrapyard has to come pick it up,,,you get nothing.

what kind of tractors. not sure what scrap is here havnt taken since spring and thats usually the only time i take is in spring. it makes all the scrappers envey how much i got around so many people stop and ask to have it.
