I am thinking about going to the show on Friday the 17 th. Is the show setup an going good then or should I wait until Sat. to go???

JDseller,
Usually, the largest crowd is on Saturday.
Set-up day is Thursday, so nearly everything is up and going strong on Friday.

Great weather is forecast. Would like to me you.
I"ll have my "Easy Up" white shelter and a few lawn chairs....nice shade for a visit. Look for an H with a buggy top umbrella, a BN, a 2-16" #8 plow and a Whirlwind Terracer plow.

Hope to locate SE of large "Feature Building". Feature tractor this year is Massey Harris.

JD , we are hoping to be at the Badger show on Sat, That is if we do not have a wild fire here. They have been all around us for a week now, here in central OK. Sure would like to meet you.I will be wearing a yellow M M cap, am 6" 3" & some white hair, in my 70 s.
Have talked with friends that have been to it , lots of tractors & everything else. Sounds like a good show to go to. The show grounds is sand , drains good if it rains. But that don t happen much now. clint

Last year it rained on Saturday, so I went on
Sunday...big mistake!, Flea market venders and
others were starting to load up and leave at noon

Friday is a very good day to attend the show
for several reasons. The traffic is less on
the roads as well as on the grounds. We have been going on Friday for several years and have found everything up and running that we wanted to see. It is a well run show that gets bigger each year. I am at Dodgeville so not to far away.
I don"t know what way you plan to travel but if you want to miss Sauk City and Baraboo you can take Highway 23 north from Dodgeville to Reedsburg and then Highway 33 East to Sand Road where the show is located. The route is well marked so you should be in good shape. I hope you can make the trip as it is well worth the time spent.

Larry; Thanks for the information. We have a feed customer that is only a few miles from the show site. So I have been by it several times. We go up through Mt. Herob loaded and come back through Reedsburg and Dodgeville.

Good for you folks, you are well aquainted
with the area and know the "back" way to get in to the grounds. I hope you will be able to
make the show on one of the days as the forecast
looks very pleasant at this time. The Round Abouts on Highway 12 take some getting used to. One year the Ho Chunk Indians had their Pow Wow at the same time as the Steam Show and the area was almost impassable. Good luck and enjoy the show.
