Well finally got the calf we have been waiting on. Nice little bull, this is the best picture I could get of him, momma is friendly except when it comes to a fresh calf.

I was just watching Brazil Ag Report. They had a cow on there that had triplets. 2 bulls and a heifer.

This is the one that threw twins in late April 2011 - took forever to breed back.

I had a holstein one time that had three in one year. She had one in early March,bred right back and had twins in late December.

We had a polled Shorthorn cow that I spoiled from birth. She was pleased to let anyone touch her newborn calf - but wouldn't let a dog near the calf. She was born and died of old age on the farm and she always had a heifer calf.

She was also the herd boss and kept the other cattle in line, which made life a bit easier for us.

Made the mistake of taking my dog down to see murray grey mum and her calf on the opposite side of a 7 wire fence,She went through the fence at the dog, I jumped behind a gum tree but apparently I was not the predator but was not going to test it..
