The service guy was here and switched us from wireless to DSL. No charge for the hookup or equipment,a dollar a month more on the bill. Seems to be a little faster. Speed check says 1.01 mg on the download. He said we can get 3 mg if we need it,but didn't say what the cost was.
Guess this must be OK with the wife, she's watching a movie on NetFlix on her laptop.

New computer two weeks ago,now this. Geez,I'm getting so modern and stylish I'm gonna have to start dressing up and putting on a neck tie when I get on here.

Hey! I always sit here in my underwear doing this! Wait a minute, that doesn't sound right?!

Right now I'm paying for 3 mg but only getting about half that speed at the best of times. These providers are great at hyping their numbers but its another story when the rubber hits the road. Like they say, The BIG print giveth and the small print taketh away.

Not sure we needed that visual!!! :p

You going over to Oakley???

Most likely. There's a small show with quite a few tractors in Stanton this Saturday featuring Oliver. I want to at least get the 66 up there. Wanted to take the 77 too,but it needs a tire changed first from the 15.5 that's on it to the 12 that's sitting here. Don't know if the weather and my ambition will co-operate or not.

It's right on main street as part of Old Fashioned Days. Supposedly from 8am til noon, but I won't,and everybody I've talked to won't have them there by 8. The parade is at one I believe, and they invite the tractors to be in the parade too. It's surprising how many tractors they get there for it. 100 would probably be a low estimate. Carlton usually has a wagon load of pedal tractors there. I'd have a bunch of horse drawn plows there if I had something decent to haul them on and show them off,but there's usually a few things like that.

Where's Oakley? I have to help my BIL this weekend on Townline Lake. Wouldn't mind seeing some tractors if it's close by.

Larry

Oakley isn't until next weekend, the 17th through the 19th. It's just south of M57 a few miles back west of Chesaning,Saginaw County.
Is there more than one Townline Lake or are you going to be close to Stanton to stop in there this Saturday morning?

Just now got off the phone with AT&T our DSL provider. It has been down for three days. Kept getting a recorded message when I called there was a major issue with their system. 35 minute wait time, 10 minutes to get back in service. Was quite frustrating the last few days to say the least. I am sure they will deduct our down time from our bill. Yeah right!

ot necessarily, the further you are from the DSL cabinet the slower your speed gets.
