It amazing to me all the folks that say "VOTE FOR ME" and they place ads in the local paper and put up signs all over the fricken place. They do this for a job and to get the really good fringe benefits of being in office. The lady that gave me my ballot said "now dont forget this is a primary and you cannot split the ticket" I said, I have never voted for a jackazz before and I never will. Had to come home and take a bath in alcohol and scrub with steel wool afterwards though. Never thought I'd see the day that I have to vote democrat in the primary,but the incumbant township supervisor is a dem,no republican was running against him,but the local drug gang is trying to take over township government and is running their candidates on the democrat ballot of course. So the winner today will likely be the supervisor. The ones they're running for the board will face republican incumbants in the general,so I just left those blank on the ballot. [Reply]  [No Email]

A few years ago, one of the major political parties staged a big "get-out-the-vote" effort here in Tennessee. Among their many initiatives, they went to the state mental hospital in Chattanooga (Moccassin Bend) and "helped" all of the people who were unable to register first, and then cast their absentee ballots later. Mostly labor unions, I understand. Makes the whole broughaha about voter ID a pretty big joke- here in Washington, we have no idea who is voting, and apparently, no one in charge cares.
