23,000 Gallons of Water

Well, after 14 years, my pool pump finally locked up. Seal has been leaking awhile and now the motor went to ground. It's trash... Pool still has the original liner in it. Kids are off to college and the wife and I just don't need and won't use a 30 Ft. round pool for the 2 of us. New filter setup and liner would be around 1K. Just not worth it. So......I have 23,000 gallons of clean water to get rid of. Wish I had a tanker to get it out to one of you guys. Will just have to drain a few inches each day into the ground. The lawn and trees in the yard will be green in about a week I imagine. Will have to do it slowly as I'm on a septic system and don't want to flood the field.

Get a garden hose and water trees, yard and
everthing else.If you are using the water, you are
not wasting it!you are watering your yard....

Attach your garden hose to the tap , the other end in the pool ,and turn it on for a few minutes until all the air removed. turn off the tap and remove the hose to your fruit trees. The water will syphon.. BUT don"t forget it.
That is how I use my bathwater on my fruit trees and grape vines during summer..

Don't worry about your septic system. There is 27,154 gallon of water per acre in a 1 inch rain. If your septic can't handle a 1 inch rain, you have bigger problems.
