1973 IH 454 GAS TRACTOR SOLENOID/STARTER PROBLEM

PROBLEM exists on a 1973 International Harvester 454 gas tractor.

The solenoid/starter "short" causes wire from starter key switch to overheat. The Solenoid clicks once and the starter lead wire coming from the key switch overheats drastically ~ to the point of melting the wire.

Where is the solenoid located on this tractor?

At the end of the burnt wire, no not being funny just follow it down you will come to wher it connects.
