That looks good but like others have said, maybe a little deeper and/or a lid might improve it some. Looks real easy to install and remove.

When I was a kid back in the 50s, a neighbor farmer had something like that on the front of his WC Allis. When he was plowin" or draggin", and he came across a big rock, he would hoist it into the box and when it got full he would dump them off at the hedgerow (stonewall) at the edge of the field.
I built a half a box that goes on my trip bucket with two pins. I use it to hold my chain saw, gas and woods tools when I go for firewood.

When I was a kid and our H farmall was the main utility tractor, my dad built a wooden box that fit inside the H's rear drawbar. He kept log chains, hitch pins, etc in there. It finally went bad and he never replaced it. Dont know why, never thought to ask him, but it was real handy.

Years ago we had some guys "custom" plowing with one of those Oliver tractors with a GM diesel engine in it. They had a hard time keeping the front end down, so they built a box in the front of it, attaching it with wooden 4X4's and filled the box with sand. They went plowing and the front end came up, they pushed in the clutch, the front end came down, the 4X4's broke dumping the whole mess in front of the tractor!

I figured you would need some where to carry your purse. I noticed in your picture to the wildlife park yesterday that you did not have your "purse" on in the pictures. I thought you would be 'loud and proud" and show us all a picture. I hear that they are the latest thing in San Francisco. You will need to visit some of the "guys" there and they will be glad to compare "things" with you. LOL

On the tractor carry box. You should have room for one even with the loader on. It sticks far enough out in front for one to still have clearance.

Around here there are a bunch of old fellas that
have lost or let their driver"s license or vehicle
due to health, impaired driving, cost of insurance
etc.
They roar around town with a home built three
point hitch cargo box. Usually mounted on a
40"s50"s era Ferguson, Fordson etc.
Grocery store, liquor store, the diner and
legion are sure places to see such rigs. From
March until November. Cops pretty much ignore them
as long as the the tractor have lights,a SMV
reflector and driving straight.

Why don't ya just hang your purse up there, Shoot by now you should have 40 or 50 pounds of stuff in it, would help hold the ft down.. lol.

(quoted from post at 04:56:49 08/06/12) Is it cold there now?

No... Because of the "cab"? That's just normal... If you have one, you use it... Never know when it'll blow up a rain..... Sure beats a pink umbrella
