i have a 1951 massey fergusion 65 high crop tractor. it is deisel and in good condition. has 1 new back tire. works great. would be a good tractor for a garden. would like to sale or trade for a jd gator or one simualer to the gator. have health problems and can't walk like i used to. would like to know how much it is worth.
 
a 1951 M-F 65- man that's really got to be a rare one of a kind machine, maybe like a pre-prototype made years before Harry Ferguson and Massey Harris merged. What color is it? Ferguson gray, Tan & gray, Green & gray or Red & gray? Look on this site at the classifieds, you'll see a few of them look at the asking price. Even better go to Flea-Bay and search for a M-F 65, then watch it- you'll see the high bid and if it was sold. Might google "machinery pete" of "farm auction results" to get an idea what they are going for at auction or look for the online ag papers and classifieds like Ag-trader or Machinery trader or the Auto swapper Ag paper.
 
Varies a lot by location Robert, but prices on common tractors are really low right now.
I've never seen a 65 high crop, but there are a lot of tractor's I've never seen. A high crop may be worth more to a collector or certain small farmers.
Tires as you pointed out are a large part of price also.

Massey 65 HI-ARCH (no such thing as a "65 High crop") isn't rare. Essentially same as 65 utility, only with 38" rear wheels, taller front spindles. 65's weren't built until 1958 I believe it was.... Stopped production in early 1964 when DX series (100 series) tractors were introduced.

65 Hi Arch is worth roughly what same 65 utility is worth, which can vary due to condition and local market. Around where I live, Massey's sell extremely well. 65 Hi Arch in rough shape but running, MAYBE $1800. Average, around $2500 to $3000. Pristine condition, $4000 to $5000 absolute top dollar.
