Gary and others in the IA area,

According to weather forecasts, we have the same temperature and weather forecast for today. Too much chance of rain to cut hay, but I'm not complaining.

What are you doing trying to rub it in i live 20mi so of Gary and rain is a lost word around here all they talk about is a chance and theres always a chance but only going to be in the 80s today and tomorrow the alfalfa is unreal cant believe how green it still is and most in the area have just finished this current cutting.

Our brilliant state weather gru Harry says we can still get our shortage made up this fall wonder where we got that we are in a cycle and it will need to play out as its has done for hundreds of yrs why are we paying that idiot.

We have been really dry over here also and the alfalfa is green but really short . We were working on third cutting till that piece of junk J D 1219 broke the drive off the end of the main gear box again for the fifth or sixth time . There is not much there but we got to make it. What is down i have been putting three wind rows together to make what on a normal year would look like one on forth cutting.

Rain about 80 miles west, too late to help crops, but good anyway for next year and the trees.

Your weather guy will end up right - patterns will change right at harvest time, and so what little crop is out there will be mudded out, with lots of stuck combines.

And we will have 'average' rainfall for the year.....
