If you guys wouldn't mind please send up a prayer for my dad. He is having double bypass surgery in the morning. I know this is fairly routine but the prayers are appreciated all the same. Thanks!

Remember there is no such thing as routine surgery. Especially when they put you on a bypass machine and stop your heart. Things can go wrong and they do loose some patients although very few. Recovery from bypass surgery is no fun, don't ask how I know. I will pray for your fathers success and recovery.

K....FIL who just passed away had a quad bypass about 4 years ago at age 73.

With luck he will get the new type that uses small holes in the chest rather what I had with my whole chest opened up. Tell not to worry about it I was in real bad condition an came though it OK.
Tell good luck from another OPEN HEART GUY.

Will do. Have tp be careful with fairly routine ans went well with no problems. My mother had surgery on a nerve in her back, the Dr. told us it went real well and he performed most of the work under a microscope to keep it minimally invasive. Based on 20 years ago I think he did an outstanding job, but my mother is still only up to about 60%.
