Have a Case VAC with Marvel Carb TSX. Has new kit and very clean. Will not start after sitting a day or so without blowing gas into carb. And when stopped will drain a whole tank of gas in a little while. Leads me to think must be the needle valve and float.

Can probably take this apart in my sleep and float/needle valve sure seems to be working OK when reassemble.

Any ideas? Thanks

floats can hang if they have enough side play in them. try changing to the old needle and seat.and shut the gas off when you kill engine.where is the gas going if you leave it on? i dont understand what you mean by blowing gas in carb.

do you mean as having to put air pressure in gas tank to get the carb fuel bowel to fill? needle probably hanging shut--than won't shut back off--if its a rubber-tipped needle, most have a small wire hook that attaches to float to pull it open when float opens--as jackinok says, ck float side play & drop tab also--good luck
