anybody own a new holland tw35 tractor, got a chance at one, its 4x4 has loader and hydro trans, nice low hour unit, just wanted the skinny on it, service, parts will it stay together ? was looking at kubota and jd, as both dealers are close at 170 miles one way new holland is, well i got to find one

I bought a TW 35 4x4 about 4 years ago with 2600 hrs on it. It is a '89 model but has the manual tranny yet. The power shift might be better. Mine has been a great tractor so far. Lots of power for the tillage tools I use. I researched also before I bought it. They say the engine is pretty good and fairly longed lived also. I would say it would be a good tractor for you.

We have, one it just has the gear shift trans.plenty of power, can see good out of the cab,bad points lack of rear lights and flashers.otherwise we use it for tillage in fall and spring.with the implements we have 24 ft digger and 9 twisted shank plow we hardly ever need full throttle.we are in brown gray clay country.parts have been easy to get, when ever we needed them.steve

I don' think you're asking about the right model. I have a TW35... it's a 170 h.p. 6-cylinder with a turbo and intercooler, a Dual Power transmission, and a Ford from before the NH merger. I'm guessing you mean a TC35? That would make more sense, with a hydro trans being mentioned, and compairing to a Kubota.

If you really mean a TW-35, friend has one, got a porous block, got a new engine from mil surplus that fits fit. His is 4wd, they pull their restil and notill planter with it. The shifting is rough, I'd not want a loader on it. No one likes driving it in planting season when all the other tractors are powershift.

If a TC-35, no clue.

Hydro transmission?? You must mean the TC35? There is a world of difference between the Ford TW-35 and a NH TC35. Something like 130 hp difference....
Both are decent enough tractors for their day but like anything used you need to inspect it to make sure it's not used up... I'd have no worries about buying a TC35 compared to a Kubota of the same class. As far as a TW-35 goes.... there is no comparable Kubota but a margin of 50 hp.

If I read you correctly, the nearest NH dealer is 170 miles away, while the JD and Kubota are relatively close. Unless I got a He##uva good deal on the NH that would be enough for me to pass on it.

no , i messed this up!~ this is a 35 hp utility tractor , just looking for a light chore tractor, i got the model wrong, tc35, small yuppie tractor that i can get the wife to run [ she doesnt know that yet]
