The cranberry guys fertilize like this. They also have too much fun. I went up with a guy two years ago and I almost got sick. It's quite a ride!

There was a guy here that flew a spray chopper; he would "land" by perching one side of the landing gear on the truck bed and hold the chopper there while the crew refilled the spray tank.

One day the chopper got away from him and pitched sideways into the ground. Turned out that the pilot was 80 years old, but he didn't even get hurt. Wrecked the chopper though. He was back spraying in a couple days with another chopper.

We lived around Quincy IL for a few years and there was an outfit that ran choppers, the first I'd seen spraying crops. This picture was taken in front of the house a couple of years ago, its not that green in central Iowa today.

Potato territory here - contantly beiing buzzed by these guys. Gotta be half crazy to fly those things.

I was coming back from the stockyard today and a plane was flying right next to me spraying potatoes. He was going about twice as fast as I was.
