Im sorry to hear it and if we were not so far away I would share some with you,I hate to hear of drought or flood,we got flooded out last year,I know it sucks to lose all your hard work, hang in there, and thanks for the recipe ,we always like to hear from you... Larry and family

Squash here always seems to die out about this time of year. This year I planted some types like the patty pan as we call them the white ones that sort of look like flowers in stages so I have some doing just fine of that type but did not do that with the zukes but will next year it I remember that doing so will keep them going for a longer time. I do have green beans KY wonder and Blue lake pole about running out of my ears and if the wood chuck will leave them alone tomato's but seems I may have changes the wood chucks mind about stealing them either that or it felt lead not sure which

Never heard od a zuke dying from bugs. Doggone things grow like johnsongrass around here. Neighbor planted some and couldn't pick them fast enuf to give them away. They overgrew him and the place and it wasn't until the snow plow went through the next winter that we were able to find him....

My first wife used to take those big ones, split them lengthwise take out the seeds, fill with chilli, put some cheese on top and bake them. That was some good eating.
