Central Illinois Corn Update

Took the Daughter's JD A around the corn field north of our house tonight and was suprised. BTO corn on beans (timber ground) and the "small" ear didn't get a shot of nitrogen.

Prolly worth while to run the combine this year!

I would say mine looks like yours, not too bad for the rain we have had this year. NEMO

Mine's not as far along as yours,but it seems to be filling. 16 rows of kernels,decent length. Ears are right up there about shoulder high.

Wish our's look that good here in southern TN. We started to get some rain after the 4th of July not going to help the corn maybe the beans.

Our corn looks pretty good for the rain that we have had. It seems like we miss every one of those nice showers over the summer. Did get a couple of little showers along the way and that must have been what saved us so far. The beans look pretty good and are setting pods, lets hope they fill with beans. If things stay like they are we are gonna be harvesting early this year it looks like.
