Where can I get a manual for a Behlen power steering system? I am putting a system on a Deere model A.

Thanks for the info.

James, I have the same model unit as you. I have noticed on these that they all have the inline attachment on the supply side to the steering motor (see outlined object in pic). I am guessing that this is a pressure reducer or such. My unit does not have this so I wonder if I need to get one before I install it. My pump is Behlin brand pump. The guy I bought it from said it worked but I am not familiar with them (or him). Maybe all of this info is in the manual.

Here's another photo of the Behlen unit.

The pressure reducer/regulator is 41/2 inches long.

Nancy's father installed the power steering on this tractor over 30 years ago; he probably had a good reason for installing the inline attachment.

Hope this helps.

Do a search of this forum. There was a manual reprint, as well as other info.

Jaden,

Do you know where it is? When I do a search on "Behlen Manual" I get over 7500 hits. If someone could narrow that down a little that would be great.

Here's a link to the Behlen Manufacturing Co. website.

They might have the manual you're looking for.

Behlen unit works really good on "old John" Nancy's 48A.

Tractor can turn on a dime and give nine cents in change.

Hope this helps.

James is absolutely right. You can steer that tractor with your little finger.

Even steers easier than our JD "M"s.

Across the road on a new John Deere raking hay was a really cute gal maybe 20 , complet with small 2 piece bathing suit.Fellow at the sale said I bet that the cuest female ever to come out of this area. I replied you may be correct , however thers a fellow in Texas named James who would most likely disagree with you!! Have a good weekend you Two.
