Well when I went out to put up the birds I did a once around the garden. Had a flash light in hand but no gun. Saw a Texas speed bump or as most would know them an armadillo so did a fast as I can go any more run to the house and told the boy about it. We both went out and guess what there armor will not withstand a 410 blast at less then 4 foot. Been having a lot of troubles with holes in the garden so maybe now I will have a lot less problem I hope. 2nd one I have shot in less then a week now

Not defending the armadillo as i dislike them as much as anyone, however if you have a fireant problem they can be our best friend.

Better knock on wood on that one LOL. When I first moved here back in July of 1980 they where never heard of and then about 10 years ago they slowly started to show up and conservation said no they are not here but now conservation says yep there here and a problem so they are on there way up t you LOL

Ha! Ray, so you think!! LOL!!! They are marching north, steadily, year by year. In 86/87, my senior yr in HS, they were barely into Ks, Now they are in southern Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, in central Nebraska.

Fire ants are now present in Nova Scotia, thanks to someone on board ship in the harbour. Maybe we should import armadillos.

the only thing worse about digging than those is a badger,i dropped a tire off in a badger hole last saturday and it like to threw me off the tractor. One thing im seeing more and more of here is porcupines, maybe the dry weather up north is driving them south also.

In 2009, we went to Little Rock Arkansaw, Saw the
first Armadillo just south of Jefferson City,MO.
Why did the Chicken cross the road? To prove to
an Armadillo that it could be done! (OK, here in
Wisconsin, we substitute the word "Possum")

We got armadillos about 15 years ago and they are every where. Shoot them and dispose of them immediatly because they stink so bad. We have had fire ants probably 40 years and they are worse.
