Don't know what happened to my computer this morning, but I think it finally died.
Using the wife's laptop right now. Don't know how anybody uses this miserable keyboard and functions without a mouse.

I figure I am a pretty good at typing but I cannot do it on those flat key boards. Need to feel where my fingers are. And also, I have the ergonomic style key board and had trouble getting used to it but now can't type good at all on a regular one. If I had a lap top I would sure have a mouse with it also.

rrlund, what type of computer do you have?

Fixing them is what I do for a living.

I think you're over by St Johns, no?

One of the things that keeps my little niche business alive is that I make house calls for seniors for free in my area.

Not buried in the price, not added into some fee. Free.

I fix the ones I can in the owner's home and most for less than a bench fee at other places.

Send me an email and I'll send you my phone number.

I don't even know if it's savable Ray. When I try to start it up it says something like "major disc failure".

I use a wireless mouse (ten bucks at Office Depot) with my laptop. Works great. I have no problem with the laptop keyboard, but I admit I prefer a full size keyboard. You can get a full size wireless keyboard, too, but I've never tried one.

I love my laptop. I set in my recliner, as I am doing right now and type away. I also put the head phones on and listen to pedal steel music until I fall asleep.

I got use to not having a mouse. You could try a wireless mouse.

I also like the fact that I can take it out in the shop when I am working on something and need info.

But to each his own.

Don't even get me started on computers.

I make my living developing software for them - and I despise the things.

you should be able to hook up your keyboard and mouse to it while you are using it. As for your other one, do you know the steps for maintance (spelling) and recovery? If it is one of the older ones I can help. If it has Windows 7 I am lost.

Laptops are highly annoying.

My boss has one, but he plugs a mouse into it for easier operating.
