Here's how I do corn; you oughta try it!

Find the 'nub', and slice it a finger width from the ear-

Take part of the husk off, but do not strip it, and leave the silk.

Place thenears in a grocery bag- the crinkly kind they give you in the stores and wrap- don't tie- the top.

Place in the microwave for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes PLUS 1 1/2 to 2 PER EAR.

When done, pull the bag out and carefully unwrap the top. BE CAREFUL! It will be hot. Let it cool for a while, then strip the rest of the husk and silk- they'll peel right off.

Mmmh, Mmmh, GOOD!

donjr,

Looks good! Going to try it next time. [We grill them with the silks on... and have found that the silk actually pulls off more easily once it is cooked.]

That's what I do too, just throw them on the grill for 20 min and husk and eat. I am going to try that microwave thing tho. How many wats is your microwave? that will make a difference.

You may have to experiment on that one. If yours is more powerful, it takes less time.
