my old 1972 long 445 seems to run a tad hot on the 105 degree days, while brushoggin.....i keep the radiator fins blew out but i am sure there is some inside junk........i am wondering if i could put an electric fan outside of grill and switch on when i want to cool,,,,also thought of rigging a water spray to spray when i want like rain........

Both or either would help. The electric fan(s) is quite common in automobiles. The spray will also help. I think it has been done in large trucks.

The water will just make a mess if you are using it in a dusty/dirty area. The electric fan will only help if the tractor is not pulling enough air with its current fan. Most of the time just making sure the current radiator is clean is all that you need to do. The difference in 180 degrees and 200 is not that much to an engine. As long as the water is not boiling out it should be fine.

it has never boiled or boiled anyout,,,,it is just the gauge rides the border of good and hot....not sure if the gauge is acurate or not.
thought of taking my multi-meter with me........

the tractor and you will be a lot cooler if you stay in the house in the AC and the tractor stays in the shed. lol gobble
