Tractor show liability insurance

I need recommendations on agencies that write short term liability insurance for a two day tractor show. Events will include parade, 10 mile tractor ride, plowing, few tractor games, childrens pedal pull. It is in TN.

I had to find a different insurance company to cover my tractors when they are on a road and not on my property. Call your agent to be sure what your coverage is. My agent took 10 days to find a company that cover me.

What you may need is not an insurance agent that has a limited selection of policies he can sell you, you need a guy that is more like an insurance broker, for lack of a better term. My insurance broker can get me policys from many different sources or companies.

I don't think there are too many people selling insurance that will just sell you one thing either, they want everything you have, house, car, trucks, tractors, business, everything.

I got away from brand name insurance companies a few years ago and glad I did. They wouldn't sell me replacement insurance on roofs and rental properties. I have better coverage, replacement insurance and it pay less. Even used the insurance and it paid off big time...good thing I have a broker and not an agent.

Our local ohio show lost it's insurance because of possile liability and thought it was over. They
found a company based in england to cover them, but the state stepped in and for 5 bucks
per exihibit they cover the show and the exibitors are classified as state employees for the 3 show days.

i have a friend who promotes tractor rides and it costs him $4200 per event. He does a two day spring ride and a three day fall ride. Its called promoters insurance. Might try Google.

I'm a member of a tractor club. We have insurance for the show and other events that the club has. One big watch out is from our own expierence members are not covered if they get hurt. Only the public is covered. Hope this helps.

What about bonafide farmers when they take a tractor and implement on the road between fields? Are they covered? We are insurance poor!!

Ron, I would assume it varies from state to state, but my agent told me farmers' insurance covers them on the road.
Since I am not a farmer, my tractors would be covered under my home owner's insurance as long as they were used only on my property and only for maintaining that property. They would not be covered on the road even between two of my properties.
The kicker was that any tractor hauled on my trailer would not be covered at all in my case. Same for any antique tractors I have that are clearly not used for maintaining the property.
I had to buy separate policies for them to cover them on the trailer in the event of an accident, or in the barn in the event of a fire, etc.
At least it was relatively cheap.
