weather wack

weather did a 180 here in SE PA. Temps hit over 100 on Wed, then big thunderstorms, now we are socked in with drizzle and 60's like fall. Somewhere in the middle would be better. Cooks the hay field, then rains on the cut hay. Just can't win. But the sweet corn is tassling. Oh boy.

If all I had to do was cut hay for rain, I would go cut all 380 acres of it. Heck there is non there anyway as after second cutting it has not seen any rain. Corn still holding its own, but need water soon!

I know what you mean. Only thing that stopped me from cutting hay Tuesday was the 100 degree heat. Friday evening I was in a sweat shirt.

I feel a small piece of that pain. Our yields are off, I'm a small guy and my rule is farming pays its own way or we wait.
