another batch,,, of summer squash,the first batch was a dill type pickle,this batch is a sweet bread and butter type, My daughter said plant a lot of squash dad,I really like them, I just hope she does,because we have them frozen,,,dehydrated,,,,and 2 kinds of pickels so far,and,,, I am looking at a recipe for zuchini relish right now! It will be good if in the middle of the winter she shops from the freezer and pantry from mom and dads house instead of grabbing imported vegetables from the super market.

Dave2...whatever you do DO NOT partake of the dill pickles. You NEED sweet pickles to enhance your people skills. DON'T use the sour pickles. Trust us....we all know.
 
Plan to make B&B pickles tomorrow. I'd like to also try some dills a little later. My second pickle patch just came up so I should have pickles into fall.

this year we decided to do some canning now,we usually wait till closer to fall,but last year in august we had floods,had nothing to can in the fall,so we figured we will do some now while we have stuff,even though it is hot,it is ok, we are putting some stuff away for the winter
