28 miles on the tractor today moving round bales from the field to my storage area (1 mile with a roll on the loader and one on the 3PH fork and a mile empty 14 times)... Tractored out for awhile now.....

That"s how we use to haul are round bales one at a time
usually had around 200 bales a crop and the far end of are
place was 1.5 miles

Sure seems like you'd figure out some way to get 4 or 5 on a trailer, or something- 200 bales, one at a time, for a mile and a half? Maybe you should have just given the hay to your fuel guy, and called it square.

It wasn't to bad took a couple days to get em hauled and stacked we would run the 4020 in 7 so we could go at a purdy good clip then pull it straight back into 3rd reverse stab the bale and then straight back up into 7th and go again we eventually got a bale wagon that would haul 5 bales at a time

(quoted from post at 16:00:22 07/19/12) dave2 weres the wagon,,trailer something. gerald

Just not enough room to make it a quick process and with only one tractor, too much extra hooking/unhooking.
