painting rear wheel question

the rear wheel of my massey 65 had a rust hole as big as a baseball.took the tire off of the wheel,had the wheel sandblasted clean, and repaired the hole.now it's tme to paint.should i paint the inside part of the wheel where the tire bead seals or would it make it too hard to break the bead off when it needs it.thanks

I would let the paint dry, before remounting the tire though. LOL

Paint it, but let the paint dry really good for several days before putting the tire back on. If you are really fussy about skinned paint from re-mounting the tire I have had good luck by seating the bead, then let the air out and make a mask out of aluminum flashing that will slip between the tire and rim. Skinned places can be easily touched up.

Actually it makes it easier to break the bead, no rust.Used to always paint my truck rims so the tyres slipped off easily for puncture repair.
