Got about five acres after this piece to cut. It's all junk at this stage, but will go up to the mushroom house in the spring and still bring something in. Awful hot out in that field with no clouds and the humidity is climbing in again. |

| As of 9:05 this evening the last of second crop was placed neatly in the row. Baler is back in the barn haybine is behind it and one skid steer has the spear off and bucket back on leaving only one skidsteer with a spear left on for feeding. So for atleast the next six weeks we can get back to shooting ground hogs. |

| I finished hay today, I cut and baled all of the fields this year since i had more storage space and lower yields and more out of the field customers. Never got all the fields cut this early before. It was so dry in the field that I was making a big cloud of dust behind the baler, pretty unusual for this area(northern NY). Zach |

| | We finished our first cut today too, last of it went up the conveyor minutes ago. This marks the first normal type summer weather patterns here in almost 10 years. I see a bunch of fields that haven't been touched yet by their normal renters, I may try to pick up a few in the next week or two before its completely garbage. The timothy is all fully headed now but still green, I have one horse customer who won't buy second cut or early cuttings, they want low protein hay as per vets orders as the horse has laminitus or something? |

| Pain in the arse when it drags out this long ain't it? I think it was July 7th last year when I finished up. |

| I posted a week or so ago about making some hay for a neighbor who has been laid up.. We finished his hay yesterday as well, could have been done sooner but decided not to make hay in 100° heat. Last evening when we looked at the counters & added them up, we did 3599 in the barn & around 80 round bales.. He is very happy & I thing we are happier its done. |
