Must be tractor related by the name of it. Do you ever get rid of this stuff. If I had it in both feet I would be in a wheelchair!

They treated me in both feet with a series of cortisone shots that reduced the inflammation and made me some inserts for my shoes that support my feet and reduce re-occurrence. Last time it flared up they just put me on an anti-inflammatory drugs that weren't out when I first was treated for this. If your in the Air Force they put you on 500mg Motrin until you get an ulcer than discharge you.

Dr. Scholl's 3/4 length foam inserts into shoes. Wear them for a month. I had it, I bought them, I wore them and it went away. Now, I have inserts in all the shoes. $7 Walmart.

It's plantar, so you're out of place and out of luck here!!!!!!! Heels spurs! So you need a cowboy site!
When I was about 50, I started noticing when I got out of bed in the morning, as soon as my feet hit the floor, it felt like both heels were stepping on a spike. It would soon subside. But over time I had to do something. I've got some hard plastic inserts that push up on the arch of my foot. That also takes the pressure off the heel. I can't find work shoes I can wear any more. They seem to have such a pronounced heel. I wear shoes with the flattest sole possible, sneakers, etc.
It seems to be under control. But I know it's there. Just like arthritis, high blood pressure, aging eyes, tender stomach, etc. etc.

Get you into the nearest super walmart, and stand on the Dr Scholls computerized foot mapping computer. About $50.00 gets you an orthotic custom built for you. Sure helped my heel pain!

I"m with bo.....start "gellin"" with some Dr Scholl"s inserts.
Also.....my doctor asked me what I wore around the house and I told him mocasin like slippers; he said wear something with arch support.
This was 10 years ago and I"ve been wearing my "vacation" Merrell sandals every day when I come in from outside.
My wife talked me into these expensive Merrell sandals to take on vacation over 10 years ago and I balked at the price.
However, they are still going even after wearing them every single day around the house. I even consented to getting a new pair just for vacations.
When your feet hurt your whole body hurts so wearing good shoes and using good inserts are worth every penny they cost!

rolling a tennis ball under you foot will help also, roll it near the heal and put pressure on the ball. I have the hard inserts in my shoes also for this and they help to. used to have the inserts from walmart, they helped for a while.

Grand Island? ' hope that's not anywhere near Long Island! LOL
I'm about 50 miles west of Albany, 10 Miles south of Cobleskill; in Schoharie County.

No where near Long Island, on the opposite side of the state. Island in the Niagara River, step in the west branch of the river and I'm in Canada. Think Niagara Falls and Buffalo, right in between.

I had it two years ago. Doc said you need to wear a "boot" overnight. You can buy them, but I made my own. It is an "L" shaped thing. The object is to keep the front of your foot back, so that the bottom of your foot is stretched. Wore this for several weeks and it was gone. No problem since then.
