Located in South central La. started reaing yesterday morning, as of noon today we had 3.5 inches and still raining. I would be glad to share with you fellas and ladies now if you need some.

Lost track of the time it rained last. Half a hay crop, feeding cows hay now and corn crop down the tubes. After wheat bean, no rain since planted a few weeks ago. Leaves are starting to turn on the trees from lack of water.Something needs to jar me out of this mood I am in like a good rain.

Sunday night we got about an inch of rain what was more then needed and we could use at least another 3 inches a week for about 3 weeks just to have what we should have for this time of year. Almost no hay to be had in the area.

And then there's the unkindest thing of all- storm all around you, you get no rain, but the lightning sets your grain field on fire.

It's still dry as a bone here on the Mason Dixon, but we did have some showers this afternoon that put down .05", and it may just be enough to get us through for a few more days. They're calling for storms over the weekend again--

Mike, some places north of you, nearer Shreveport (in DeSoto Parish), got 12" out of that system last night. I only got 1". Even so, I was running my zero turn in the woods this afternoon and came in covered in dust. That one inch went straight into the ground.
