Gotta get a gimmick. Outfit out here sells a lot of eggs by claiming they have better eggs because their hens are special and produce more omega 3, so they are "egg lands best". People have such a disconnect with ag that they fall for it, and will clean the shelf of them first, and they charge more for them!

Definitely got some "marketing" going on there, but they got a lot right as well - animals are what they eat. If they can sell it that way, more power to 'em. The problem with too many producers is they try to *tell* customers what they want instead of *sell* customers what they want!

Balage is not "Hay", They must be somehow related to our folks in DC as they sure know how to spin things...

They know some things about hay that I never knew and I dealt with it for almost 60 years; in fact, they "know" some things that no one else on the face of the earth knows..........cause they're outright lies.

Actualy, the high omega-3 eggs are a result of the ration fed the hens....I believe they use a high percentage of flax seed which results in the higher omega 3 levels.

Not impressed!

We ate grain fed beef growing up in Iowa. Our butcher calves got alfalfa, silage, and lots of corn i.e.: premium feeds. We never medicated beyond what was needed if their was an issue.

The grass hay out of the slews was not harvested or if it was it went to the horses.

Venison out of IA was edible. TX brush fed deer are not worth eating.

This "grass" fed beef here in TX tastes like crap.

I guess it's what your perspective is.

Really do not agree with that line of thinking or feeding beef cattle.Wife has brought home grass fed meat to see what it tasted like. No more of that in this house . We always had corn fed beef on our farm , cannot be beat .Sorry.

But it's still a lot of smoke and mirrors. I heard on the news a week or so ago that omega 3 isn't all it's cracked up to be, according to some doctors. And, then, organic isn't necessarily better. And grass fed beef tastes better. And ocean fish are now radioactive, but Vietnamese fish are full of chemicals and farm raised cats are not. I guess I died from all the water I drank from the stream as a kid, all the bad pork and beef I consumed, not enough veggies and too much milk and eggs over the years and am just waiting to fall over. I guess I'll just go have another cheap barley pop and wait to drop on my azz. What's on sale this week, because I am not about to pay for any more of that high priced yuppie stuff-----

Another lie we are told is that red meat is bad for you....It is not! ..it is the fuzzy green coloured meat with the maggots in it that is bad for you!!!
LOL...Sam
