Iam looking to get auctioneer certified in indiana. I know you dont have to go to school in the same state but Anyone know of a good school or share any experiences?
 
You have one of the best in the country, Reppert, right there in Indianapolis. There is also Missouri Auction School. There is also one in Ohio, Ohio Auction School, but I don't know anything about it. The school I went to in Zanesfield Ohio has been sold and closed. Google it and you'll find lots of them. Contact your state or National Auuctioneers association to get a little more info. I wouldn't plan on it for my sole occupation as it takes a long time for your reputation to get around and you have to do a lot of little sales before you get any big ones. They are a lot of work setting up and getting ready. But, having said that, I've been an auctioneer for over 25 years and still enjoy doing sales. Good luck, Keith

Ive been working the ring at my uncles auction house and could get work at the bigger auctions doing a ring with a few small stuff.
