Fly bait and Coke

It's a very delicate process and requires precision... There'll be a couple experts chime in soon with the basic mix... But you'll hafta give it the taste test yourself to get t just right... I hear a little dab'll do ya.....

I have not heard of it being used for ground hogs. It is mainly used on Coons. You just mix it into a paste.

Mixing it with canned cat food will get rid of a mean Tom cat. That is what I hear anyway. I think it was about half to three quarters of a cup of bait.

Lot of discussion over on the AgTalk site, that the EPA; et al, has been watching the chatter and in Indiana they fined a couple salesmen for recommending it over the legal trap/shoot. Regulators are beginning to consider relabeling as a restricted use pesticide. Internet is available for all to see; best discuss privately or could easily use this off-label use.

Truthfully the best way to get ride of ground hogs is to trap them if they are around buildings. A live animal trap baited with melon and lettuce works good. In the open fields I usually just watch at dusk and shoot them with my 22-250.

As to the other stuff. You guys going crazy with the stuff is going to get all of that stuff pulled from the market. Do you think an open forum is the place to talk about using stuff????

Yep. It is precise allright. Dump in some flybait and pour in some coke. You can be stingy with the bait, or you can be generous. The results will be about the same.

(quoted from post at 17:28:00 07/04/12) I'm with you there Stan.
If it needs to be done, get it over with.

You guys may as well just turn in your man card and cancel your ytmag name... If ya ain't tuff enuff to poison sumpin you just don't fit in with the experts.......

That's funny Dave2.
Why would I need to poison sumpin?
I have hands, boots, guns, knives and tractors.
Poison for a critter like that seems like the cowards way out.
Not tuff enough to actually see it go?

I`m thinking there was a touch of sarcasm missed there.

If I offended anyone by using the word "coward" I apologize.
Forgot myself and our politically correct world there for a minute. LOL
Three S's.

Not really 69, I was just trying to play back.
Maybe my sarcasm wasn't as obvious.

Slow and painful? Some fall face down in the pan! I think 6 feet is the furthest I've seen them from the dish.

It's not my fault that the stupid raccoons keep drinking the bait I put out for the flies!

I was thinking the same thing.

so i had some "flys" getting into my chicken pen, they were closed up in the coop, which was a horse stall with chicken wire around the top, the flys were actually climbing the wall in a corner and had managed to get the wire loose from the coop, i would set out at night until i couldn't stay awake anymore, (had to be at work in the morn.) i did take out a couple foxes, but the flys weren't on my schedule, however the flybait was. so the score at the end was 3 flys , 6chickenss, and 3 ducks. 3-9 not counting the foxes.
