does any one know of a good non sticky sunscreen, that dirt ,dust and stuff wont stick to?the last couple of years, ive been getting a rash on my arms if I stay out in the sun too long driving a tractor or whatever. Getting old i guess. Doesnt do it anywhere else but my forearms and back of my hands if i roll my shirt sleeves up. But it sure is agravating.pretty sure its the sun because you can tell right where my sleeves were if i forget and roll them up some.might have to start wearing gloves all the time i guess.

Don"t know of one that fits the bill. Per our dermatologist, any sunscreen over SPF 30 is a rip-off.

I wear a t-shirt with a heavy, broadcloth (button down style) shirt over it. I don"t button the broadcloth shirt, it would be too hot, and gloves. I also wear a large brimmed straw hat and shaded safety glasses.

When its really hot, I"ll soak the broadcloth shirt in water and put it on wet. Keeps me cool for nearly an hour (depending on temps & wind).

I have my own opinion of sunscreen and refuse to use it. I don't worry about exposure to the sun for short periods of time, but if I need to be out in the sun for longer periods, a wide brimmed hat, long sleeves and gloves is the answer.

I like Bull Frog Sunblock with Quik Gel 36SPF. The Quik Gel is an alcohol carrier that is not sticky after it dries. If you have any cuts or open skin is has an alcohol sting much like a waterless hand sanitizer. It used to be in grocery stores, etc., but it is hard to find now. It is still available on-line at www.Amazon.com and maybe other places too.

Bull Frog has a number of products, some are greasy, some are not, so read the descriptions and reviews to get the Quik Gel.

Light jersey gloves are another alternative, around $5 for three pair.

Good luck.

Wife gets the same thing.... Sun is the culprit for her.. Long sleeves and gloves are the easiest and prolly most comfortable....

NO-AD Sport Continuous Spray Sunscreen, SPF 30 10 fl oz (295 ml)

The brand name is in fact NO-AD. google it. Less than 10$ Great product. Jim

I use Coppertone SPORT spray because lotions just make you hot - seems like they don't let your skin breathe or sweat. Sometimes wear hat or light colored long sleeves.

WELCOME TO OLD AGE!
I've had to wear long shirts and a hat year around...get a rash from the sun and from sunscreens. ALL SUNSCREENS CAUSE A RASH.

I make my own sunscreen using diaper rash, which contains 40% zinc oxide and Plamers Coccnut Oil. Get both from Wal-Mart. Mix about 50% each to get an even application. I call it my make-up.

thanks guys I'll check on some of those products.I never did like working with gloves ,but it may come down to it.anything beats itching and scratching..

AVEENO in a spray can. I went to an auction last Saturday and stood in the sun all day. Spray it on rub it around and it dried wasn't greasy and worked quite well. No sign of any burn. Recommended by Dr Mom.

I get the same thing. Itches too. I've never found anything other than a long sleeve shirt that "prevents" it. For a cure I use my old standby crotchrot cream. It's basicly an athlete's foot cream. Clotrimazole 1%.
