Yazoo Belt revisited

Okay so I posted here a week ago about a drive belt for a Yazoo S22CB4 and got a lesson. I appreciate it and after spending many dollars on the wrong style belt I am here with my hat in my hands.

Alright fellas, the factory belt was marked HUSQVARNA TURF CARE DIV 0205-011 and 0502-180. Before I drop any more money on this project, where could I find the right belt? I have no local lawnmower shops other than the big box stores. The worn belt is 20 inches long and approx 3/8 wide. I suspect the 502 is length in millimeters but the 180 has me stumped. The drive system on this mower has a split drive/driven pulley and the clutch strokes an idler which tensions the belt transmitting power from the drive side of the pulley to the driven. Weird setup but I suspect with the correct belt it would work fine. Anyone got any idea what belt I am looking for?

A quick Google search for "Yazoo mower parts" turned up a few possibilities such as jackssmallengines.com.
Yazoo does have a website, (Yazookees.com) but not much info. There is a note that for older manuals, have to contact their customer service dept.
Good luck,

It looks like this model of mower was a model made to be retailed through Lowes. I have found that the "belt clutch" was used on several other Yazoo mowers. I have not found any common belts though. I can't find any link to HUSQVARNA any where. I don't think the belt you have is the original. I would contact a Yazoo dealer and try to get the factory belt. They are Yazoo/Kees now but they are still in business. I looked on line and found many models of Yazoo mowers that had parts break downs. I was not able to find one for your Yazoo S22CB4.

I did find that there was a law suit between Lowes and Yazoo over this mower. In that Lowes agreed to buy 3900 units and did not do that. I am wondering if this model was made just to met a bid requirement with Lowes??? Lowes is the worst company I have ever dealt with in regards of not supporting anything they sell. They have a unit built to met their cost guidelines and could care less if you can ever get parts. So finding the factory original parts might be hard if this model was not sold any where else but Lowes.

This might help.

Yazookees is actually owned by Husquevarna, but that is no help in this situation. He will still have to try the contact information on the Yazookees website to try to get a parts manual, if one is available at all.
I wasn't impressed by their website, looks like they are just making a few models of zero-turn mowers now.
Some of the small engine parts dealers may have parts for it.

Looking at the parts diagram at www.jackssmallengines.com the part number is the 0205-011 number. It seems that Jacks can order the parts so just try them for this. Since this belt is used in a clutch application it might have a odd length or V angle. So if the rest of the mower is in good shape I would just spend the extra and get an OEM belt.

I have ran into Craftsmen mower belts that are odd lengths and cross sections. If you use another belt then the deck may not work correctly.

I'm sure no expert on Yazoos, but if I remember right, some of the belts were oddballs- tapered on both sides. You are right that it is probably best to order an OEM belt and be done with it.

I checked this link and it came back no replacement.I ran into this same problem on my Kut Kwik with the drive belts.Mower belts are no problem, but the drive belts have to be bought from Kut Kwik. It's been that way for several years.
