Anyone know how many were made?

I don,t know how many were built but always see more in Texas than anywhere I travel. Don,t think they were all that rare but doubt that you can find figures.

Per my book there were 10,597 from 1961-1964. Also shows the same number for the Diesel, so not sure how good that info is.

i'm thinkin that is the total number of d-19s made. and just a wild guess would be less than 5 percent of that number would be how many propanes they made.

My Allis Chalmers Data Book gives total production of 10,597, and all specs for diesel, gasoline, and lpg, but it doesn't show the production numbers for each.

I'd agree with the 5% estimate, which would put lpg production at maybe 530 units.

I own a D19 diesel, and I've seen a couple of gasoline burners, but I can't recall ever seeing an lpg version.
