wife wanted a bigger flower garden/crap spot, so i pushed out a old bush and gathered up all the border rocks from around it and the tree next to it. the people who built this house back in the 60's liked river rock, they laid plastic down , put big rocks down for border then piled river rock in it, musta looked good 40 years ago, then someone put some mulch down on top of that, so i had a mess.

i used the tractor to scoop up as much as i could, but i knew i would have to get the "latino backhoe" out

Yeah, well, it may take a little effort, but it's worth it. Ain't nuthin' like a purty patch of flowers. Our place was originally owned by an elderly couple. For the first ten years we lived here, every time I scratched up a patch of dirt in the yard, petunias would come up. I have gladiolous blooming right now that were here when we moved here.
