OT Local Fruit

I have a plum and apricot tree in my yard and have noticed they were both early this year about a month actually. But neither one of the fruits have any flavor. I suppose it's due to the dry weather. Any one else notice this or have experienced this in other years??

my plums came early too, but they were very juciy with good flavor. I had to fight the birds for 'em.
