Looks good! Anymore, every year my radishes are all top with no fruit on the bottom! I don't know why. Both times I tried brocc. the steamer was full of green worms in spite of Sevin dusting. And all my apples blossoms froze this year from our freaky spring in Mich. Just as well cuz I still havent figured out how to spray enough to stop the maggots. But I still like to garden and see all those nice pics. Makes me hungry!

really nice lou! Lou, Ihave a sweet potato question for you,I never planted them before this season,I put them in a raised furrow, they are stating to grow ,do they get hilled like a regular potato?

Lou, Your garden looks great a fellow just cant beat fresh veggies. Your place always looks so calm and relaxin you must really enjoy living there.Tony

Great lookin' garden Lou! I planted sweet corn this year but had a dismal germination rate.. About 20%.

You must be a bit south of my place. I can throw a baseball into Canada from my property.

Enjoyed your pics,

Brad

Nice garden Lou. What is the secret to growing such nice broccili? I love broccili but mine looks nothing like the plants from your garden.

Larry. Hope this helps."Rows should be 3 ft apart, about 8-12 in high, the higher the row the more space for the potato to develope.Plants should be planted 10-18" apart.Even spsced rows and plants will produce more uniform size potato's.This information comes straight from the order house planting guide. This is our first venture with em . I too truly enjoy your garden pictures as well as the other posters. Regards, LOU.

Son used 10-10-10 around the base of the plants, about every week. Miracle Grow soultionon top of the plant, also compost material as a bed starter. LOTS OF Water. Tilling and hoeing to keep soil loose. Thats how he did it. Sure tastes great. I can eat the whole thing lol. Hope this helps. Regards LOU & Victor.

Bradley.Appreciate your reply. We're close to Canada, About 150 miles South is where we are located of Canada.Just about 1-1/2 hrs. away from Duluth, Mn. Regards LOU.

redtom,
Our first planting of radishes (German Giant) didn't fair so well this year, this is the second go at em. They will be bigger, but had to thin a few of em out to make room for the smaller ones to grow.So far for the brocc, we didn't have to use any kind of bug killer, so we're kind of glad for that.I didn't think we would have apples after the cold snap this spring, but they sure took off and are looking good, a couple more weeks and the tree will be sprayed for worms and scab control. We even get to use our new apple picker with a 16ft extension pole, won't bruise em, and will make a great pie's. We had a few years where not much has grown, but we keep on keepin on, so don't give up. It tastes better fresh from the garden and no money or wasted trips to the grocery store for substandard produce.
Regards, LOU & Victor

Adirondack case guy, Thanks for the reply.
It started out cool, then rain, and now hot,but so far we won't complain, much.LOL Makes the garden grow.Enjoyed your pictures as well.
Regards LOU

Thanks Lou. We will have to put more fertilizer on the plants. I usually only put on 10-10-10 once a year, and miracle-grow a couple of times. Dale
