Hi!We are fine.Our farm is in no danger.We are down in the valley,out of the forested land.Our local mountains have so far escaped the fires.There is a fire at DeBeque,50+ miles away across two high ridges,across 2 major rivers(Colorado and the Gunnison) and Interstate 70.The winds are blowing away from us.DeBeque and surrounding areas are being evacuated.Please pray for the situation-God,send us RAIN!!Thanks for your concern,Steve

Glad you are OK. The media seems to portray things in a different light sometimes. I heard you guys out there are really burnin' up. Here in Southern Minnesota things are OK. We could really use the rain also. The heat wave hit us this week first and supposed to continue all next week. You rain request will be in my prayers for you. Take care.

I was wondering if you were OK too. Glad to here you are alright. I sure hope they are able to get control of the situation soon. I can't imagine going through what the victims of those fires are having to deal with.

Kurt,things are bad out here.everything is SOOO dry.The 'front range' has been hardest hit,several BIG fires,rescources are stretched thin...Thousands of homes in jepardy,hundreds already lost.the fire season is still young

We heard about fires in your area ,thought of you folks rite away. One report said Delta was threatned. Sounds like you escaped this round of fires.
We have been watching the Waldo Canyon fire on ch. 11 sense tue pm. on our puter here in OK.
Very sad for those folks. Glad to hear you are ok.
Very dry in mid OK. now after a week of 100* plus days & wind. Stay safe. clint

At the 5:00 news I70 was reopened,the fire was 12,000 acres and only 10% contained.The fire is 11 miles from Grand Junction with the wind blowing away from GJ.7 miles from DeBeque with the wind blowing toward Debeque.All we see is some smoke over the top of (10,000ft)Grand Mesa to the north.A good friend has a rental house/shop building there and is very concerned...
