I have two propane torch tips that I use for soldering copper pipe and they are both hard to light, and when lit, will go out if I tip the torch sideways quickly. Are the tips dirty? Can they be cleaned up?

THe propane is a liquid in the cylinder. when it passes through the valve it needs to be a gas from the top of the cylinder, not a much higher amount in the form of liquid. Don't turn it on its side, or upside down. If you need to do that a Propane qualified reinforced rubber hose can allow the tank to stay upright. Some tips get trash down them and need cleaning once in a while, Some do not come apart. Jim
