Lowe"s has generic Glyphosate concentrate 41% for a little over half the price of Roundup super concentrate. The Roundup container didn"t say the percentage. Does anyone know how they compare?

That's $15.98/gal. First time around in soybeans I paid $25.00 per gallon of Roundup Weathermax in bulk container and apply 32oz. per acre. That's $6.25 per acre. In a week or so I'm spraying Durango, which is a generic Glyphosate, $12.99/gal at 40oz per acre. That's $4.06 per acre. You can make your own conclusions. Jim

Check the label carefully. I bet the Lowes product does not have surfactants like the other one.

I use Buccaneer Plus, a fully loaded generic glyphosate, on our fields. I paid $9.50/gallon this year.

I use the generic brand for 40 bucks for a 2.5 gallon containor. I mix 1 qt to 25 gallons of water. My sprayer does 25 gallon per a.
It didn't seem to work as well for some reason on my corn. It didn't kill the grass very well. I went back and brought the original brand roundup for 60 bucks per 2.5 gallon containor. I hit the corn again with 24 ounces per a. It seem to work out better and killed everything as I would expect. As my dealer explained the price is about the ame for the generic as the orginal stuff. You mix 24 ounces of original where you would use 32 of the generic brand. I have been using genric for years but I think I will start using the orignal brand as the money is the same and it seem to work a little better. It sounds like a good price at agi supply but I don't use enough to justify buying it in the bulk containor.

I've used generic roundup for over 10yrs. Just don't forget the surfactint and always used up any mixed roundup within 10 days. It doesn't have any shelf life after mixed!!

25 gallons of water per acre? Does it say that on the label? My memory's not what it used to be, but I don't recall ever spraying that much, except in an orchard......

I would think the round up would work better the second time around. You already sprayed it with generic, the second spray killed it more. If i understand your post right.

Thurlow.
I believe it does call for either 25 or 26 gal/acre application on 41%. I spray a lot of it. Would have to dig out my charts.
Thats 32oz/acre at 1%. This is all nursery spraying. Not sure what % the row croppers are using on corn and soybeans.

I understand rick, and I get it; I am and have been retired (for a few years), but I've sprayed a LOT of roundup (bought it in 30 gal drums or whatever size they were); my recollection is that I typically sprayed about 12-13 gallons per acre. That rate worked for most of the chemicals I sprayed (w/220 Spracoupe) and I didn't have to be constantly re-calibrating the sprayer.

Agree with you, thats why I made sure I said we spray landscape trees, no orchards though. Everything we have used in the last 10 years has been cal"d to 26 gallons... but we only spray 3-4 different herbicides, roundup being one of them.
