Dehumidifier???

Have a dehumidifier in basement with new house,never had one before.Want to hook up a hose to basement drain instead of emptying basin every day.When removing basin theres two fittings,one looks like a hose hooks up to it,the other just drips water.Is there supposed to be a plug in the one that dont look like a hose should be hooked up to it?

I would think your hose would connect to the hose fitting. Read your instruction manual. If it's male hose thread I think your hose would connect there. We just installed a new dehumidifier and they included a piece of plastic hose, but it was too short. We bought a length at Home Depot. On ours you just slid the plastic tubing over a fitting. Hal
